I found the guide someone made a while ago to show how in DYNASTY WARRIORS 8.

EDIT: Nevermind, the producer explicitly said single-player as well... hence the only way to do a Double Musou Attack in DWO is with one's companion officer (at the halfway point of their switch gauge).
Even 9 was MP. But then they did 9e as SP, which was disappointing since I find 9e more playable than 9.
I won't even buy this game if there isn't co-op. Grand scale hack-n-slash doesn't make sense as single player only. What a shame to wait so long for a new Dynasty Warriors only to have it alienate the multiplayer community.
