Also nice for keeping Kong Rong alive, since he always gets himself killed attacking that base with 3 enemy officers xD
whats different with this game is that if you keep people alive they will get special events that allow them to actually do things. so thats fun. looking forward to the full release, the demo definitely got my hopes up.
You shouldn't have to rescue Yuan Shao more than one time on Wayfarer or Hero difficulty on a good run.
The players concerned about babysitting implied they were revisiting Yuan Shao multiple times and/or just hanging out near him. But that scenario tends to occur as more allied officers die. Versus a player that is taking out key officers on the field and allowing your allies to mop up the weaker ones and start to join forces.
The default outcome is everyone dies without the player's intervention. And the player can comfortably save 2 of the 3 major forces. Or with enough aggression and strategy, all 3 major forces. And doing the latter makes the last half of the battle much easier.
So, after 12 hours of playing demo. I decide to spoil myself a bit and look into those preview on Youtube, especially on Hu Lao gate....We're pretty much overlevel in this demo. XD
All weapon mastery are at level 8, not to mention some decent equipment heck there's even a ring that has 35% chances of auto parry.
4 weapon that we got in the demo are widely different enough to feel different, not to mention it as their own mechanic/gimmick. I am surprise that I found myself enjoy wheel so much with it's "perfect timing" gimmick. Cresent Blade trigger my DW6's Renbu level 1 PSTD a bit tho. XD Can't wait to try the others in the main game especially to see how Spear my main weapon will play.
And according to the leak we got, it has surprisingly a lot of stages. We spending a LOT of time on Yellow Turban Rebellion and Doug Zhuo uprising.
So call me a tool if you want but despite all the negativity in this god forsaken forum. Im still very much looking forward to this game.
Btw, someone seems to mod the demo to be able to play other officers that's not available in the demo.......
