Why no Co-Op Mode?
Co-OP mode was always so much fun on PS2. I would have liked that for this part too, it's a shame we have to do without it.

i imagine its mainly a performance issue, but also some of the mechanics like the tactics slow down time which just wouldnt work well with the flow , but i 90% bet its a performance reason for not making it co op. i could be wrong, but i imagine that is the main reason

*Heavy sigh*

Of course it would have to be single player only.

Guess we have to hope the JP players raise a huge stink about this. I'll give Koei that i'ts their first good looking game, but the sad roster, the lack of coop, and a boring fixed protagonist really spoils the whole experience. Demo really killed my excitement. Congrats Koei.

I will probably pass on this as long as it is singleplayer. Dynasty Warriors games have never been detail-oriented high-challenge games like Sifu or Sekiro, so I am not remotely optimistic about a solo experience that would compete with the games of any of the companies that have made good solo games for years. If I'm looking for a solo action game, it's absolutely never been Dynasty Warriors on my radar, and DWO would have to be miraculously better than every other DW game to change that for me. The ENTIRE value of DW has always been slaying hordes with friends mindlessly and chatting. Without that, it's just slaying hordes mindlessly alone, which for whatever reason is immensely less satisfying.

Here's hoping the sales don't justify keeping the game solo. I'd rather see the series just die if they can't make fun multiplayer games anymore. Make a new singleplayer series set in the Three Kingdoms period and I might think about it, but this looks like a weak attempt to use the name of the series to sell a game that fans of the series never asked to play.

Yeah, there's no co-op, and if you're looking for something like Sekiro, you won't find it here. If you play the Demo, and it doesn't seem like your type of game, you won't be missing anything by not buying the full version.
