Was this game even tested? Difficulty issues)

The game is amazing, everything I want in a Dynasty Warriors game, but I wonder if they even got beta tester for this title. You get three difficulties, and they are basically easy, normal and hard. I wanted a bit of a challenge as a veteran so I choose hard, it was difficult but extremely enjoyable.

Then comes Lu Bu fight and is "oh OK randomly the game takes me from hard to not even very hard, but Nightmare. Cool. I wasted 20 minutes of my life." I had to restart in Normal the whole stage. The problem here is, if I want to play in Hard I can't because Lu Bu exist, and they probably give the same treatment to Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, you name it.

As a Veteran fan I knew Lu Bu was coming, but in all games, YOU ALWAYS RUN FROM LU BU. You are never forced to fight him. I like them breaking the mold, but break it too much and you get another DW9...

Either way, lesson probably is, play in Easy. Because without levels and the probably of Pseudo Lu Bu's,,, uff.

The Lu Bu fight was just for fun and gimmick. The demo is already finish the moment you finish the shisui gate. Lu Bu is just optional

LuBu is not sort hard, but hit hard. Once you know his pattern, it's quite easy.

You said that "optional"? I sure that happens only in the demo but it's TOO MUCH (for me, traumatized ez2die games for 10 years).
There is no choice, and the demo won't stop until kill you or be killed him.

Apparently you aren't getting the fact that it was thrown in there as a meme. It's well known that if you aren't near max level you probably aren't beating a LuBu in any Dynasty Warriors title without an extreme amount of skill. It's a demo, you played it, you liked it, they threw in a challenging meme just for the sake of it.

Like the others said, in the full version I would assume that the battle will just end at shisui gate without Lu Bu jumping in so I would not worry about the difficulty. He was most likely thrown in here so we can test out the new combat system like perfect parrying and dodging.

Ah ok good to know. I haven't played DW in years and got obliterated by him lmao. Seemed ridiculous but fair, will be buying this game for sure

I read opinions and perhaps he was put there just to give a test of how hard the game can be. As for the waste of 20 minutes, you didn't even consider I played more than 20 minutes, but is ok. I merely stated I lost the stage and had to retry.

I am excited for the full release, and like others said in the full release you probably can run or the battle ends there. Thanks for sharing!~

Yhe its demo and still its not that hard. I bet in full game you can grind old battles to make you stronger so there wont be any problems.

@Chinek, not that hard? Please, you're either playing on easy or you're full of ♥♥♥♥. This demo gets insanely hard. It's literally the main complaint I'm seeing in every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ discussion.

Once we play through the game, we’ll unlock a harder difficulty where the enemy can use Musou Rage. Even the AI gets smarter.

The producer of the game has said that Lu Bu will not appear at Sishui Gate in the full game, and thus presumably the battle will indeed end with the defeat of the second boss.
