DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS

DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS

Statistiche:
Game is cool but has some very serious problems.
First and foremost: for some reason it keeps disconnecting my controller from the game- this happened like 7 times, and really needs to be looked at in the code.

Second: maybe it is because this is the very first battle of the full game but there are WAY too many things pausing the action to explain things, its just utterly annoying and then it throws me off and I get whacked by someone.

Third: I love Dynasty Warrior games and they are a joy to play, but this game [Origins] seems actually really stressful to play, maybe this is a personal thing.

Fourth: The Lu Bu fight is a big fat (F-), my character can die in 2 hits while he can take over 1000! I got the hang of the timing and Parrying everyone's attacks but I find it excessively unfair that his damage output specifically leaves completely no room for any slight error.

If I wanted to make myself miserable and play Elden Ring, I'd go play Elden Ring- not Dynasty Warriors.

Elden Ring in my opinion is a "worthless" game that sent me into a depression and I had to stop for the benefit of my mental health.
The game can have the best graphics, the best controls and sound design- but playing the game itself is a joyless- depressing trek through hell.
I say "worthless" as in it's likened to buying a bag of sugar that isn't sugary or sweet- basically a bag of edible sand.

If salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

It's not like I can tell the devs what to do with their game, but if that's the direction that the game is going, you can count me out, I will not be looking forward to the next installment of Dynasty Warriors.

the first lubu fight of dynasty warriors games is always supposed to be iconic and extremely difficult

they probably wanted to give people a reason to keep playing the demo

the real game will likely not have as much emphasis
Won't let me quote your post for some reason, but the devs said today that Lu Bu won't be in this map in the full game. He was put in there as a sort of challenge mode specifically for the demo itself. He also won't be nowhere near as difficult in the actual game. I will admit all the tutorial popups constantly pausing the game every 5 seconds was pretty annoying, but this demo takes place a decent chunk into the story. Personally, I'm thinking in the base game these will either show up sporadically, or will be in a tutorial mission of some sorts. Since this demo is only 1 mission, they have to throw all the new game mechanics at you at once. Annoying, but you can turn them off when replaying. I never had any issues with my controller disconnecting. I'm using an Xbox One controller with a dedicated adapter. I tried it on the medium difficulty first and got my ass kicked. Switching to the easiest difficulty made the experience far more enjoyable. What I really liked about it compared to 8, was that the enemies still attack you and can still hurt and potentially kill you if you aren't paying attention. I thought the demo was amazing and I am really looking forward to the full game when it releases.
Maybe it is just you. I like the difficulty of this game. The Lu Bu fight is for demo iirc and he is the most iconic character in Dynasty Warrior, it is suppose to be hard.

Other than that, i am so tired of mindless hack and slash from the previous titles already. The title would be so dead if it is still the same like before. Besides, other than Lu Bu, other fight is so enjoyable and satisfying especially the duel.

For the controller thing maybe is your controller/pc problem, i am using PS4 controller connecting through bluetooth, didnt even have any disconnecting problem.

Maybe the code is more tuned for Playstation controllers, I do have a PS4 controller but I havent tried it on the game yet.

You have enough salt to make that bag salty, don’t worry

That's kinda messed up that you're downplaying my mental health...

If the salt has lost it's taste, first thing I would think is "Is there something wrong with my tongue?" instead of get rid of the salt.

If you don't like the game, just stop and play other games. There's ton of choices out there. No one is forcing you to play the video game you don't like but you. If you can't, that's just addiction at this point. :2018bestcoffee:

If Elden Ring give you depression and this game makes you stress out, maybe you should find something else to do in the first place rather than playing video game imo, maybe the genre is not for you.

Hell sometimes I even take a break of a video game for a weeks(I play gacha games with often has a lot of FOMO stuff), just to refocus or do something else like building a Gunpla kit.

Yeah, something you seems totally lacking it seems.
Can't blame ya, using salt for analogy is already a stupidest idea in the first place.

Let's make things easy;

Me :"The game was making me depressed so I stopped playing."

You:" If the game is making you depressed then you should stop playing."

... you don't say!
They 100% put soulslike elements in the game and shifted away from your traditional musou. Though since it is just a demo the whole lu bu fiasco should just end with lu bu. And the actual difficulty should come from the actual stages and not because there is a boss you have to defeat

Definitely not a soulslike and would be doing a disservice in telling anyone seeking a soulslike, "Hey, the new Dynasty Warriors game has soulslike elements. What specific elements? Ones that definitely weren't in the previous games for the last 25 years."

It's about as soulslike as Tekken.

Specific to Lu Bu, the demo message tells you as much that contents in the demo differ from the actual game and there is a challenging fight at the end of the demo. A fight where even if you saved 34 officers with their Courage boosted and a companion, that all gets stripped from you in an isolated demo specific battle.
