When was the last time you removed dust from your gpu? If you know how to do that do it. If not watch some vids first otherwise you might break your gpu.
Generally speaking you should be good i dont know why you getting 50 fps.

I'm using i7 8700K with RTX 3080 and got fps drops during the boss fight.

not sure what to expect from my hardware these days, Cpu getting a bit old and GPU from first series this generation.

Officially the i7-10700K and RTX 2070 or better are recommended for 1080p60 on High graphics... as of August of this year, the full game was tested with a 4080 16 GB and with a 3060 Ti 8 GB but not a 3080. https://www.koeitecmoamerica.com/dw_origins/us/products/steam_spec.html

I have same memory leak issue.

That caused my frame rate to jitter between 20 and 50

My CPU:5700X3D GPU:4060 Memory:32G

Didn't even bother to play the demo longer than a minute. 4K, max settings (which is a highly relative term with this frenchise). Sure, I got the 60 FPS counter in my top left corner, but frame times seemed off. No Upscale Support either (why Japanese companies try to ignore those with most releases? Sony being the exception...).

Add the very heavy price tag for a very mindless button smasher with no outstanding improvements, and I'm out.

Damn, I hate Unreal Engine 5...

This isn't Unreal Engine 5, it's still the Katana engine. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think you should be pushing for 4K in this game on a 3080.

It isn't UE5, its the same engine they used in Wo Long but 'better' apparently.

Correct to the both of you, with the caveat that DW9 also ran on an earlier version of Katana Engine... more recently it was used in both Rise of the Ronin, Wild Hearts, and apparently Nioh 2, and multiple Atelier titles.

9 was bad for a lot of reasons, imo they focused too much on the 'open world' trend at the time and that killed other aspects.

It's arguable that they didn't focus enough on the open-world aspect due to how empty it was...
