Any way to disable the depth of field effect in nightvision mode?
I already managed to disable the atrocious motion blur and the grain filter (THANK GOD) but it's still not perfect.

When in nightvision mode, there's an insane amount of depth of field that blurs anything beyond a couple of feet in front of you. I realize that's intended but it really messes up my eyes.

Is there a way to disable/tone down that effect?

How did you do that?

I agree, I feel like I need glasses after a few minutes of looking at it. Switching back and forth from nightvision to normal going from clear to blurry etc... really makes your eyes tire quickly.

I doubt that your vision of outlast in it's 'perfect' state is how the developers envision their product as being perfected.

I mean, in a game where darkness/shadows and blurred camera vision are core mechanics (and actually the core trade-off you have to make - be able to see clearly but be virtually blind in dark spaces, or use the camera to be able to see where you are going but almost everything is blurred) used to disorient the player and induce stress/fear, turning it all down seems a bit... wussy?

Maybe turn the brightness up to maximum at the same time eh XD

And maybe mod the character models to all look like cookie-selling girl scouts

Yeah, I've actually tried disabling it in the system settings, it does turn off but for some reason night vision depends on depth of field for the signature green tint and the gritty visuals. But idk maybe there's another way.
