Which is scarier, Amnesia the Dark descent or Outlast??

I'm a huge fan of horror. I've heard this game is very creepy. Therefore, which game is scarier, this game or Amnesia the Dark descent ?, which is considered to be, by many, the scariest video game of all time.

it brings nothing new over what Penumbra and Amnesia already done
-mutilated corpses lyring around CHECK
-cheep jumpscares CHECK
-player vurneability CHECK

but maybe perhaps my opinion may or may not change when i finally get to play it
but from what i see so far my opinion is : meh

okay, you obviously have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what you are talking about.
Soma has next to no single jumpscare in it, it does not need those scares. Kids wouldn't even understand the story, they would get bored by it.
Play it first then talk about it.

i did not say that.
You did not play the game yet you compare it to FNAF.
Fact.
I played it (both of them) and i can safely say that you are just wrong.
Soma really uses no jumpscares, only one or two at best.

Though they both did an excellent job of scaring me, I would have to say Amnesia is the better one, even though it had no patrolling monsters (except for the water part).

I have played SOMA, Amnesia, Penumbra, and FNAF all the way through, and I can say that that Amnesia and Penumbra focused on actual scares, while SOMA mainly focused on having a deep, thought-provoking story. FNAF, on the other hand, just has a bunch of cheap jumpscares, and, while it may be different, gets old very quickly.

You claim that SOMA was filled with cheap jumpscares. I have played through the game and watched multiple playthroughs of it. There is not a single jumpscare. And SOMA's puzzles were just as challenging. Maybe you would know that if you had PLAYED THE GAME.
