What the hell? Game just hangs and crashed on game ending?

I played whole time without any issues and I was happy! Suddenly game crashed when it ends, when credits ends I just click EXIT in Main Menu and - BANG! - game hangs and then crashed - never quited to desktop - CTRL+ALT+DEL do the trick but seriously... Someone knows what the hell? I mean in the middle of game it can happen but at the end? When I clicked EXIT button and want to exit to desktop? This is sick...

the same! but it was at the end of the game, in the credits ... so it does not matter much

Oh it matters to me! Thanks for your answer - now we know that this is something wrong with game - not with ours PC's... Maybe it's rare problem but it can happen and IMO requires closed look Red Barrels!

Teh game crashed for me too at the end of the credits. Never crahed before.

This happened to me as well, I beat the game, watch the credits, then as I exit the game through the main menu the game crash and I have to go to the task manager to shut it off.

Other than that one time though the game worked perfectly all throughout.

Thanks for another confirmations! So now there are 4 of us experiencing this weird issue...
Someone from Red Barrels should check that and maybe fix it in new update?

Yeah, I guess it's a definate bug, it crashed for me too after I finished the game (I had to Ctrl + Alt + Del , task-manager and end process on the game)

Thanks for reporting this issue; we have not encountered in in our test systems. Do you have logfiles in My Documents\My Games\Outlast\OLGame\Logs that you could send my way? Especially a .dmp file if you have one, that would go a long way in helping us figure out what's happening there.

I simply uninstalled Outlast and deleted all files from my hard drive because I finished the game so I would like to ask for your help!

Please paste here your error logs and upload .dmp file (please add link here) and I will send them to Redbarrels - together we can help and maybe they can fix this issue but they need some logs with that error - like I wrote before - I don't have any of them and only hope is in you people!

I'm talking about crash at the end of the game, after credits when you want to go back to Windows desktop and click EXIT in Main Menu...

It did actually hang for me twice throughout the game but it just happened again after finishing and watching the credits. When I clicked EXIT it froze. I almost thought it was funny.

You can also direct the guys on the forums to send the logs/crashdumps directly to this email address ([e-mail]), as long as they indicate they're related to the end credits crash it'll do the same.

Same thing just happened to me. Great game, though. Is there supposed to be something after the credits? If not, it doesn't matter.

It's obviously never going to get fixed now. It's been over three years. Outlast 2 is what they care about. I just played and finished it again, still crashing during the credits. Not a single crash apart from this. Vile company, simple as that.
