Offline capability?

Hello, can this game be played in offline mode?

It's not even a multiplayer game. Sounds really fair if it did required you to be online.

When you look at specs it say's Broadband connection, So it's a fair question there's planty of games that demand you play online even though it's single player.

Good, you'd think they'd not bother to put the broadband connection down as a requirement if it is only for the initial download and any later updates. That is kinda obvious on Steam. Cheer's anyway.

After reading configuration files, I sincierly doubt that it will be single player for long.

Can you play this game in online mode? It wouldn't be as scary with a friend. Live inmates could be cool though.

It's a single-player game. You could only need to be online to download it initially, or get updates for it, or if you have the Steam Cloud enabled for it.
You don't need to be online to play it. Though, to help avoid any possible conflicts, I may recommened to disable the Steam Cloud option for this game if you plan to play it offline.
