Won't Launch

Each time I hit Play, a small black screen pops up, goes straight away, and steam doesn't do ♥♥♥♥.

No error, no message. Just that. Restarted steam, rebooted my pc.
Anyone?

For those with the 0xc000007b error and are running a 64 bit, download this file and extract the .dlls files in the Win64 folder (Steam\SteamApps\common\Outlast\Binaries\Win64). I repeat this is only for those with the error and have a 64 bit OS. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7sbjb891nayezan/dlls.zip

The above method allowed me to launch the game...will test it out now. I emailed the devs informing them of this solution in the hopes that they can fix it on their end for the benefit of other folks who didn't find this forum thread.

Just google them, they are pretty easy to download. I would share them but i dont have them

I got mine working by choosing the lowest graphical settings possible, as well as the lowest resolution. I started a game and everything came in fine. Then I went back into the options, cranked everything back to max, and now it's working okay :) A temporary fix, but at least I'm able to get in and play now :)

all 32bit users i have a possible soution for you. all you have to do is run the game in low graphics and LOWEST possible res and the game SHOULD work. This is only for those who can get to the start screen and have the black screen problem after new game. Dont hate if this dosnt help but i mannaged to get mine to start.

i have 2560x1080 and it happens nothing.....starting, the OLgame exe runs...but no game. i will try a refund. sorry, its my money
