Is my camcorder supposed to be cracked?

I'm past the part in Outlast when my camcorder drops, but when I picked it up, it was perfectly fine. Is this a bug or is it supposed to happen? If it is a bug, then can I fix it?

I ended up finding another undamaged camcorder....not the one I dropped. :o

mine is cracked also, so yes, it is supposed to be. im sure later in the game something else will happen haha :)

I'm now at the part with the Walrider and nothing has happened, but if the something does happen, I'll be happy. Maybe he'll just come up and punch my camcorder!

There is a new camcorder laying around, you just have to find the darn thing. I found it by accident.

Yea I also finished the game with the cracked one. Feel like it made it scarier since half your screen if cracked

I picked up the only one I saw and somehow it wasn't cracked. Kind of weird, but acceptable as long as it's a camcorder with nightvision.

If Effects is set to Low or Very Low, you will not see the crack on the camcorder. Try setting Effects to Medium.
