How do you start the Whistleblower DLC?
No advertising when the DLC was relased back in May is bad enough but how you even start the friggin' thing?! There's no option in the menu to start it. I bought the DLC a few weeks back, it took multple restarts of Steam to get it to actually install the bloody thing and now it's nowhere to be found! What a rip-off!

You will find the DLC in the start menu of Outlast.

No it isn't it.

The DLC shows up in the games properties though and I've deleted the whole game and re-downloaded it - still not there. So I'll say it again, it's a rip-off.

C:\Users\*********\Documents\my games\Outlast\OLGame\Config - Goto this location and delete all of the ini files then restart.

Just found my original post on the matter -

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\10758694\238320
C:\Users\**********\Documents\my games\Outlast

Delete everything in the two above directories. If you have old saved games you want to keep backup 238320 directory.

Restart Outlast. Every setting will be default btw.

Thanks. Just removing the folder cured the problem. I think it might have been a config setting I tweaked in the main game last year but each time I re-downloaded the game or DLC it grabbed my config settings from the cloud (because all my key bindings and graphics settings are the same as I set them).

Glad it worked. It's something that the devs should have sorted.

Enjoy the DLC, it gets freaky and sick.

I think that setting I tweaked may have been the film grain effect - just tried to remove it again for Whistleblower but it doesn't remove it, DLC still works though.

I tried it without the film grain and found it took something away from the atmosphere and feel of the game so reverted back.

Well removing it now doesn't work anyway but I'm pretty sure it did in normal Outlast before the update and I liked it.

to remove filmgrain after DLC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWls3p7ZzKU
btw this method also removes the green tint from the camera night vision

Okay I did what mooner suggested but I still have no dlc. I have not messed with any settings.

So you deleted the config ini's and checked the games properties that show that the DLC is installed? http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d94/soopytwist/Capture_zps770a864a.png
