Why didn't Miles just leave the asylum?

When he got to the room with all the heads and the guy saying "You have to get the ♥♥♥♥ out of this terrible place", why didn't miles just turn around and go back the way he came? That would certainly be enough proof that some freaky ♥♥♥♥ is going down, right?

It looked like Miles (while he was the walrider) was trying to attack Waylon. (when he was getting in the car) That's just me though.

He could have attacked Waylon after killing Jeremy Blaire, however not.
On the other hand, Miles tried to help Waylon in the car, probably saw the camera Waylon and realized it was a person who wanted to expose the truth, the only thing that made Miles is push the car to the doors (you can see ) to Waylon finish the job, which unfortunately he couldn't do.
Then, despite the dangers of uploading the video, Waylon upload it because he realized that Miles helped him twice.

Another thing he could have done, was backed the car up against the wall, then used that to climb over. Then just run/walk the rest of the way.

Yeah, it's not like walls or gates are impassable structures. Even if they had barb wire or spikes at the top I think taking a little pain is more preferable than actually going back to the asylum.

Pretty sure if you could go back the way you came a patient was there and most likely would have killed you. If I recall he barges in after you climb in the vent. Not 100 percent sure since I have played more of the game on my ps4.

Sure, he went to the asylum to exit after 2 minutes of entering. Now, that does not make sense. Miles does not realize of the error that assumed go to the asylum until it meets Stephenson, the impaled SWAT.

I started out on insane expecting to have to use some wooden clubs against some flesh eating wackos. Then it said, YOU ARE NOT A FIGHTER, and as the scenery developed within the game. I started to ♥♥♥♥ my pants as the scenery developed. It put me the ♥♥♥♥ in a hole in my own head, that I could not do anything but get Kanye Wested for video taping some super lunatics.

Oh hey, whats that, an entire black corproate super swat team, beheaded in one sit in? Sure, let me go further into the dungeons lair, and not just retreat back through the vents...

Now I am stuck with the ever lasting. This sucks so bad I am going to die impression.

I believe this game might be the closest thing to route into a persons mind and actually just self terminate, through automatic function.
