Is whistleblower scarier than the original?

Havent played the DLC yet, and i just wonder if its more scary/disturbing then the original Outlast?

Imo, the DLC is a little bit better than the original game. It has more depth in the two antagonists and they have really great characters. Not necessarily very unique, but very in depth and very open. It doesn't really have to be unique, just the way they describe these two people in the game, that you will see later, are so good. I'm not going to spoil it or anything. Besides that, there are a few moments in the DLC where they get a little too descriptive in visual performance, but, you know, it's a horror game, right. Lmao. I think it's worth buying, but that's for you to judge. If you don't want to buy it, then watch somebody play it through on YouTube. It's great to see the DLC one way or another.

It is more 'disturbing'. It is as scary. It is worth totally. One of the 2 main enemies is very, very crazy.

Base game wasn't scary at all / Total let down with this game.
Amnesia is scary and creepy. I'm really looking forward to SOMA as well.

The normal Outlast is better,
But there are some parts in the DLC, that are really spooky and disturbing

I loved them both, but whistleblower was what made me nearly slip off the edge of my seat. There is something deeply disturbing about a psychotic guy hunting you down who wants to cut you open and "plant his seed in you."
Whistleblower threatens you with buttrape. That's scary crap.

Amnesia and Penumbra, yes I agree. It's just a shame SOMA looks boring. Amnesia developers really losing their touch and over-relying on the same formula to the extent that people have already guessed "major plot twists" from a few minute gameplay preview.
