Outlast Vs Whistleblower (no Spoilers please)
Which one did you like more? For me personally Outlast was better because you didnt know what the menace was. It was a good mystery horror game for me. I think this was lost in Whistleblower since you already know everything what happened before and where it is heading.

I like the two, but more Whistleblower. :-)

I liked Whistleblower more, because you met new varients and your questions from the main game were answered. It was interessting seeing how everything led to the events in the main game. You even had to make your way out of sticky situations under different conditions. And the ending was sad, but beautiful.

I agree with you. Just that, I really liked the end of Whistleblower. :-)

I liked Whistleblower more because the enemies had more story to them and they were scarier. The Groom was the most screwed up enemy ever and the way they dragged out his part of the DLC was really cool. The ending was also better by far, we get justice thankfully and it was just scarier in general. I say this because I felt Outlast had way to many chase sequences, most the horror just came from the gruesome visuals and the nature of the enemies wasn't as ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also some of the chases in Outlast just plain pissed me off so the horror didn't really effect me as much.

Wasn't there only one chase scene in Outlast? (Or two, if you count the whole last sequence with walrider as a chase scene)
There were like five in the dlc, though.

I mostly enjoyed Outlast 1 more. Don't get me wrong, Whistleblower was very good, but I found some moments a bit boring.

But I would play Outlast 1 and Whistleblower way more than that very disappointing sequel: Outlast 2.

I feel like Whistleblower has better pacing, but I guess that is because outlast already did the world building part.

In my opinion the game is scarier, because you feel yourself under pressure all the time.. and also there are more places to explore and there are much more scary jumps and pursuit.. Chris walker is the scariest character and he keeps chasing you the whole game...

should I buy whistleblower or outlast I if I didn't play any of them before?

Whistleblower just by a bit, the ending had me thinking for weeks and it was much scarier than the first Outlast. What about you
