He probably left, because that was the whole point of the game.
I'll seat here and wait for the sequel
Billy seemed to have quite a bit of control - in that he spared Wernicke and left him in his office. However, he killed practically everyone else!
I'm assuming he intentionally saved Waylon at the end, since the Walrider seemed very focussed in killing Jeremy when it could have attacked both Jeremy and Waylon easily if Miles didn't have proper control over it. Similarly, at the end Miles seems to make no attempt to attack Waylon either.
I'm guessing there's some kind of cost to having a quasi-demonic bunch of nanites in you, though. Wouldn't be surprised if Miles went crazy with power, over time.
That and Wernicke had a wall that Walrider couldn't go through.
Would be hard to get away when you got a black cloud around you though.
I never actually thought about Miles escaping too! I'd assumed he was bound to the asylum in some way now and couldn't leave. Though I do like the idea that maybe Miles with an element of the Walrider escaped along with Waylon. Wreaking havok whever he went lol.
There's an air vent inside the room. Weird
Of course, I forgot how far away that room is.
But there's corpses at the door D:
