Camera records?

I finished Outlast and found out something about camera records. All I found throughout the game were files. I agree I'm missing something extremely obvious...

You get camera records by using the camera to capture certain events in the game.

I think a camera icon flashes up in the bottom corner when you are in a situation/area that warrants using it? Outside of when you need the infrared to see, of course!

Mightn't be correct here as I've only played the early stages...can't think why else the icon popped up though...

Maybe you think you missed actual "videos" as opposed to documents/notes? Camera trigger events just add relevant written stuff to your log as far as I gather.
