How much easy is the insane mode in outlast?

I just completed this week outlast in insane mode (Tuesday) and today (Friday) I completed the DLC in insane. It may sound funny but for me the DLC was harder than the actual game. I literallly passed the female ward in insane at the first try, and some people say that the female ward is the hardest part. What do you think?

I'm playing the second hardest difficulty (can't remember what its called) and it isn't that hard. just some enemies like Chris Walker are one hits ect

Playing it on nightmare now after a 7 year break, yeah the only difficulty I have with this is the lack of batteries, so I'm literally playing it blind, got stuck ones but still did it pretty easy completely blind. More annoying then difficult. Trying to navigate outside in the rain with no vision, just a waste of time. At least Outlast 2 has more visual and audio clues to help you where to go next.

If I speedrun this game first on normal to know where to go then nightmare would be easy peasy. It's literally the same game except you get 1 battery each segment basically, so you need to know the maps. Very annoying as your 'first' playthrough.
