Outlast Stuck At 62 FPS

I know this is an older game but I am trying to play these games over again before Outlast: Trials drops. I noticed that the game is stuck on 62 FPS with v-sync turned off. My 1660ti is more than capable of handling this game. Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

You dont need any more than 60 fps but fine. Uncap guide here:

I've seen those tutorials and those settings don't exist anymore in the game files.

Currently set to unlimited and V-Sync is turned off, also that answer is vague, can you be more specific?

Just messing with you, there's a set FPS cap in the games file, which is, as you can guess, 62.

To remove it> go to outlast folder, not the one in steamapps, just search it in your files, so Outlast>OLgame>config>OLengine> search for bsmoothframerate=TRUE and just change it to FALSE then save and bam

Thanks for being specific on not using the steamapps folder. I found the file and changed the settings to
bSmoothFrameRate=FALSE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=0
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=0
But you also have to find and change the additional smoothed settings lower in the .ini file then it worked! Much love!
