You really dont need to increase your frame rate in this game 60 is plenty. Also your looking for the wrong file...when your in the Configure folder open OLEngine. Find "MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62" And change them if you really insist on changing the FPS rate. You need to set the minimum and maximum higher.

There is no config file that’s the problem. Also as soon as you have played with a 144hz+ screen you really do

Again you are looking for the wrong file. Config is the folder not the File. The file you want to open is called OLEngine. Open it scroll down until you see what i posted before.

Open Documents/mygames/outlast/OLgame/Config (FOLDERS FOOLLLLDDDEEERSSS) Look for OLEngine (The file not folder)...open it scroll down till you see to lines that look just like this "MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62" Change 22 to 60 and 62 to 75. Close the file when it asks you to save changes to the file save it close all folders run the game your FPS should be higher now, If not you messed something up.

Go to the configuration file(s) location.
Open OLEngine.ini.
Change the second instance of bSmoothFrameRate=True to bSmoothFrameRate=False, or raise MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62.000000 value.
Save the changes.
