Windows 10- Game won't start

I've verified the files, did what the support site told me to do (-32 doesn't work) and yet the game won't work
I press play, it asks for some permission I said yes and no countless times, installs the microsoft thingy, launches for 2 seconds, then it cloeses.

How to fix?

Documents > My Games > Outlast > Find OLGame.exe > RClick Properties > Uncheck Compatibility Mode.

If thats the case, then start the game in Offline Mode (Restart Steam with no internet then the game should work fine.)

you have played 34 hours. so the game worked on your machine. what changed? new firewall? new virus scanner? new virus scanner rules? windows update? new hardware? new drivers?

1. make sure laptop is using dedicated graphics card and NOT the onboard graphics.
2. remove the old user user preferences file. maybe the game is reusing the old pc hardware settings on your new laptop.

Re-install I had a issue like this before same with Rocket league > and also you can try to put -safe in the launch properties

Well, I teste it all as well, and the game simple say "Outlast stopped working". Where are the devs? win10 x64 creators here.

game works fine on win 10 x64 with creator update. this is a msg board with fellow gamers.

solved by reinstalling

After W10 Creators Update, some of my games stopped working. After update, somehow, some files of Visual Studio 2010, 2012 and 2013 got corrupted, for me,

Fixed Outlast, reinstalling Microsoft Visual Studio C++ Redistributable 2010 x64 and x86.

Install both. If you get a message saying you have newer versions of C++ 2010 installed, uninstall them, and then install the ones above.
