But then again, I'm not the person that can drop the targets anytime I want.
Just looking for a quick pinball game out of this, rather avoiding the ones with story lines and tension building graphical intermezzo's.
You could equally say 3 band billiart is boring without the graphic animations, story line and mini games to reward the player.
"are there any tables , strictly speaking in PA, that anyone just can't stomach to spend one second even playing?"
Yesterday Indeed I had started the Adams family only to exit it before my ball reached my flippers, could not stand the idea of spending time on it. I 'm sure it is a good game to many but for the moment I can't just bring it up to spend time on this type of pinball game.
Strangely I did my best in the real arcade to like it for the top table it is but felt neutral.
I never got to play one back in the day, but I kinda like El Dorado's feel of an old Gottlieb EM drop target fiesta in a System 80 package. Whatever.. I love pinball and can find some redeeming quality in almost every game, even the pre-flipper "skill" games. For me it comes down to the "fun" factor, and its those "fun" tables through the years have kept my interest. Medieval Madness is still a blast to play, and sits ready to go in my home office whenever I need a diversion....

Even though it is very odd and a bit crazy I can not find any real pleasure in Goin Nuts; because it feels like I am mostly flaying around and it is hard to imagine where the shots will end up; don't mind having it in TPA though, how would I otherwise know it is not a table I want to play, heh.
Back to Eldorado: Tight tilt and a stop and shoot table. You wont gain anything playing a flow like style, unless you are a true master at it.
Will be incredible fun seeing how the new flipper physics 3.+ will change how we play this table!
BUG! There seems to be a bug with the award Get 1 mill on one ball, I got it for 100k maybe. So either it is for 100k or they just forgot to set up a zero.
Wicked outlanes, stay away; combining safe shots and gently nudging to avoid. If you end up there it is very skillfull nudging that can eventually save you.
Cheers!
From everything i've been able to glean online it was part of Gottlieb's portfolio of budget titles i.e. stocking filler for route operators whom needed a new game, any game, to add to their line up and machines like these gave them a game or perhaps even two for less money. This practice was reportedly fairly prevalent during varying times in the 80s due to all kinds of fluctuating market circumstances.
If you care enough to read up on what arcades in general and pinball in particular went through during that decade i assure you you won't look at it the same again and you may be surprised that Bally and Williams did the exact same thing regardless of what majority opinion about their titles may be, they all made stocking filler at various points in time.
Disregarding it's pedigree and looking solely at what Gottlieb had been up to in years prior, say a Spirit, Devil's Dare, Alien Hunter or even a Black Hole... Sure this is probably not a title that holds up all that well with it's contemporaries, i certainly don't care for it much as a player but i don't hate it either considering i know this went out the door to make money and not specifically to be the best game ever.
At the end of the day it's pinball and some folks are bound to love it to bits, so in that sense there's no best or worse to be had in any of the seasons other then everyone's personal taste and preferences.
There got to be at least one table you don't like on PA. Don't tell me you like them all.
