i tested trial version in "online play", but if i choose "find random match" the table start without matchmaking in SP.. oO i'am very confused now ^^ please tell me how to play against other players without a need to pay something?

I'm concerned that you're too focused on the beta multiplayer, it's really not important. Just trial tables in single player or you'll miss the opportunity to buy them.

oO

thats the reason i downloaded the game, because it has multiplayer tag in description ^^

so how to play MP in free version against other players? without the ability to test MP i'am sure i don't buy tables or packs, because this is the essential thing for me.

Pinball is all about the entertainment value, skill and scores, the multiplayer aspect is an interesting idea but underdeveloped and relatively unimportant. Which other pinball games do you play because it's starting to look like forum trolling.

last Pinball game i played was "ZEN Pinball" for PS3. i bought it on Dec. 2009 and multiplayer for 4 players was already fully implemented(with voice and webcam support). but PS3 is oldscool now and nobody is playing it anymore. i think there comes out newer versions of this game later, but don't know exactly..

EDIT:

Tesla and shaman was my favorits

You'll no doubt enjoy Pinball FX3 (which still features Tesla & Shaman), I'm a fan myself but it's an altogether different style of pinball. I'm certainly no white knight for Pinball Arcade and it has got numerous issues but this is your last opportunity to buy these licensed tables.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the whole multi-player aspect, I can't see the importance beyond challenging friends scores.

my mentioned ZEN Pinball from 2009 isn't unrealistic as your mentioned Pinball FX3, thats why it isn't a game for me.. ZEN Pinball is very detailed and in MP u could just see the 4 player on top and maybe hear what they did say and the points, but that was the only and importent differnce between SP and MP..

but ok, u answered a lot of my questions and now i know that i'am not to stupit to find a MP game although it is displayed and discript in steam and ingame that the game offer multiplayer. thx anyway ;)

EDIT:

now i see i can just play against the highscore of other players, but not live in a lobby against other current playing opponents in Pinball Arcade ^^ thats not multiplayer, it's just SP against a highscore :D

@ The Fifth Horseman.
You may not advertise other company's games except within their forums. Sorry I had to delete your post.
Please don't take it personally.
Fine, whatever, without that part then:
i tested trial version in "online play", but if i choose "find random match" the table start without matchmaking in SP..
As far as I understand, only some tables are enabled for multiplayer. This one is not among them.
please tell me how to play against other players without a need to pay something?
You don't.

You don't.

You've got the wrong game, then.
It's basically irrelevant for most people with an actual interest in pinball simulations. The main selling point of Pinball Arcade is that its' tables are extremely detailed replicas of real pinball tables ( one of the reasons I got Whirlwind, for example, is that I remember playing it in an arcade more than 20 years ago )

Different developer, different priorities.

u don't need to repeat that, because i already wrote that ZEN Pinball is much detailed and realistic too.. seems u just played unrealistic Pinball FX3 ^^

and maybe change game description tag in steam and drop multiplayer out of it if it doesn't offer multiplayer ^^

Leaving a clickable Install link for a different game(ZEN Pinball) by a different developer on our(Pinball Arcade) forums is inappropriate. I wouldn't reccomend leaving a Pinball Arcade Install link on the forums at ZEN Pinball either, this would also be inappropriate.

Thanks for understanding.

So much this. As much as I appreciate the virtual tables from other companies keeping pinball alive (we all need to stick together), TPA is my go-to for the realism. I've played lots of these tables (many at release) and outside of VERY minor differences, TPA is a virtual time-machine (another GREAT table - Time Machine - add it please!) that brings back those amazing times.

It truly sucks about the Williams thing. Believe me, knowing there are still great tables (Big Guns...we hardly new ye) that we will never see is heartbreaking. But I can't thank the crew at TPA enough for the ones we DID get.

If nothing else, get Season 1 before it goes away. TOTAN is just the beginning.

there is no link i could post, because it was a game at PS3 network. i don't think it is still avaible on PS3 and/or PS4 and/or any other system/network..

and i just get asked what i played, because somebody was strait befor calling me a troll, because he didn't know that realistic MP pinball was already avaible 9years ago (on a console)

nothing against your game, but for me SP isn't something interesting in long term(in each game)

FYI, that's how Steam formats URLs going to any app's page on Steam Store.

The link to Steam Store page was in my post, which was removed (which is why I reposted everything of it but the part containing the link)

Because what your complaint amounts to is going to KFC and complaining their chicken wings are not the same as the ones at McDonalds.

And realistic pinball with multiplayer... that was available over 20 years ago in Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies and Pinball Illusions (obviously local MP only).

nothing against your game, but for me SP isn't something interesting in long term(in each game)
Then you're missing out on many excellent games.

u got your own post from dev and that your post was deleted. the mentioned post was for me or others to not post again a link to another game.. ;)

local multiplayer has a seperate multiplayer tag in steam.. ^^ it's called "multiplayer (local)"

but i'am not talking about "multiplayer (local)" tag, no i'am talking about the "multiplayer" tag which is wrong for this game here, because it has NO multiplayer. and i didn't know that it has no multiplayer, because it has multiplayer in steam as tag. thats why i ask much times how i can start MP, because i can't find it ingame.

maybe u should read correct what i wrote. as i already wrote i never had downloaded Pinball Arcade if i had know that it has NO multiplayer befor. i don't know where the problem is to ask for MP, because this game is marked as Multiplayer :D

"many excellent games" games are not excelent if they get boring after some hours, because they have a lack of multiplayer(which is standard today)
