i have the same exact headset and it also causes metro last light to crash on startup... i think its just an outdated driver or something.. but there's no available updates so idk what to do.
It sounds weird, but the only way to get them to work is by not selecting the afterglow headset usb headset
Instead you should plug the audio jack of the afterglow usb dongle into your PC headset (audio out) socket. Next select that PC headset socket as your default audio device. Do not select the afterglow usb device as your default audio device.
The crash also occurs for me in metro which is just beyond weird lol.
