Loud pitch beep sound from computer
Whenever I try to play this after a few seconds of the game being on screen this really loud high pitched beep comes on, and stays on. But whenever the screen is changed from the game (alt+tab for example), the sound goes away. Switching back just causes the sound to return again after a few seconds. I've played this game before on this computer without problem. When this first occurred I thought it was a hard drive problem so I moved it from an HDD to an SDD. Didn't work. I tried to find the sound and all I could figure out is it was coming more from the back, mother board, gpu and psu area.

The video is of the sound and some stats in case they help diagnose the problem.

I'm having exactly the same issue. I got a new video card and I get a high pitched noise in game. I deleted all the local files and reinstalled but the problem remains. I haven't heard this noise in Borderlands 2, Civilization 5, Dragon's Dogma, or any other game. The audio is coming from the built in speakers in the monitor through HDMI. I know it's coming from the speakers because when I turn off the monitor, the sound goes away. If I go to the game menus the beep is gone. It returns when I go back to playing. I opened a support ticket.

what size power pack do you have in that box?, 450watt?, 500? ect?
and what type of video card do you have in there?

750 watt with dual GTX 1080s. I've tried playing Total War: Warhammer and it has beeping problems as well. They'll normally start about 30 minutes in but the beeps don't last longer than 5 seconds. Until today where it happened instantly and it didn't stop. This game hasn't had the problem before either.

Mine is a 600w with a single GTX 1070. It used to work fine on the GTX 460 SE. Support sent me an email asking for DxDiag.txt. I sent it to them along with a link to Gary's YouTube video since mine makes the same sound.

I was able to solve the problem by plugging the computer directly into the wall rather than the UPS.

And now the game crashes every 5 minutes, great

I'm surprised that fixed the audio issue but I'm not doing that. The UPS is there for a reason.

Tech support asked me to roll back the driver to a previous version. I did and it did not fix the issue.

I encourage you to contact support. They are actually responding to me. They just haven't solved the problem yet. Maybe having info from two gamers, that have the same problem with different hardware, will help them figure it out.

This issue is fixed on my computer. Rolling back the driver to an old version didn't help. Since it didn't, I reloaded the most recent driver. The game is now working without the loud beep.

Well, I finally got time to play today. 40 minutes into the game it crashed. When I started it back up, the beep was back. I tried using different driver versions, reinstalling the game and setting all the exe files to run in W8 (failed) and then W7 (also failed) The beep is back and I can't get rid of it. I guess I won't waste my money on Sniper Elite 4. There a plenty of games that do work.

Okay...it's finally fixed. I was playing, and hearing the high pitched whine, intermittently. I noticed when I had certain objects on the screen, it would whine. Point my view in another direction and it would not. I reduced my video settings so everything was at medium instead of high. I played over an hour and it didn't whine once.

It's kind of strange since my video card far exceeds the recommended requirements for the game. I was able to play on high video settings with the older card. At any rate, I can live with slightly reduced video quality if it allows me to shoot Nazis without the high pitched squeal.

I'll probably buy Sniper Elite 4 when the price is right. For now, I'm playing the new Doom.
