Long Range shots?

Every level has a long range shot, one level had me destroy artillery guns and kill a general from distance. I took out the far gun(one without access) from the sniper's nest at a distance of about 315m. Still not the long shot for the level. What exactly are these long shots anyway?

There are long shots on every level, I was making an example. I haven't found one yet.

I've only found 3 so far which have not been accessible. Get to a snipers nest/tower and have a good look around with the binoculars.

Yes. There is at least 1 longshot per level. It has to be a shot on an enemy located outside of the reachable map area. Usually they are all like this.

Had a few long range sniper shots on the airfield level. I knew the physics are a bit off but bouncing a shot at 343 meters off a rock through a sniper's mouth and the ever impossible through the sniper's scope and into his eye. I didn't have a video but the kill cam showed it. I call BS infinity.

I got them all, one at around 634m.

in every mission, find a sniper nest and look around. On 1 of these sniper nest you will find a soldier far away from the map.

i killed that soldier in the mission of the airfield, on the highest difficulty. It was easy

As a subttle hint, the appropriate sniper nest that the "long-shot" needs to be taken from will be marked with a "cross-hairs" symbol like this...............somewhere very close by to let you know that is the one. This symbol may be engraved on a wall, drawn on an ammo crate or anything, but you need to keep youir eyes open to see it. Once you see that symbol at a particular sniper nest, you can be sure that is where the long-shot needs to be taken from. Then, it's just a matter of doing what EagleWatch & CloneTrooper said, by looking around to find the soldier far away, (usually outside the reach-able map), to shoot. Easy!

In DLC Belly of the beast, the long shot is a guy down by the river sitting at a table.
The table and chair are always there but he does not appear until you get to the sniper nest and
move the sand bag and box, then he is there and you can shoot him.

yes every longshot is marked with crosshairs. there are a couple in windows, a couple on ridges and so on. scan with binos first to find and tag the enemy. then its all about hitting the target. longshots are great for getting headshot and tagged enemy bonuses. a few you can get testicle shots on to help with your other achievement
