What can Mac users do?
The trailer of Sniper Elite 3 stunned me. I'm keen on sniping other people from a distant hiding corner, hence it makes me disappointed that only Windows users have access to such a pleasure.

Macs were never intended for gaming, really. Both from software and hardware setup.
If you wish to try nonetheless, then you'd need a bootcamp installed to be able to also install windows on it.
I play CO:GO and TF2 on Mac and have absolutely nothing to complain. The developers should follow that up.
Such a thinking implies somehow backwardness. Many industries understood the importance of Mac OS for youth gamers.

Both yes and no.

Macs weren't really built for gaming. Usually their specs are really awkward and not really suited for gaming.

Source engine is quite old and supports OpenGL which is why most of the source based games are available on Macs. But as far as newer titles which are more demanding, and especially if they don't support OGL it's usually not worth the effort to port the game.

Especially since besides redoing the renderer you still have to rewrite the core game on some sort of API for MAC. From there it's an additional platform to debug, and all of that for a small fraction of mac users that are gamers and are unwilling to shift over to windows.

Plainly not worth it if it was initially outside your scope.

:-( ... but I applaud you for the metaphor at the end of your text.

Actually the word scope is often used in terms of project planning, especially for things like games and programs.

I didn't even notice it was a pun lol.
I know that, but thought you had that in mind when writing, haha^^...

I was a Mac - User for many years !
But I gave up about 3 years ago ....
I first thought, that with the intel - processors inside the Macs it is fantastic, to have both, windows and Mac OS.
But then, I dont want to spent Euro 3000.- for a machine, where I am not able to change the GPU ....
Now I dont want to go back .... I built my windows - computer 3 years ago with a budget of Euro 1200.-. Since then, I only upgraded the GPU for Euro 300.- and still play the newest games!

I dont want to open a windows - Mac OS - discussion .... I had them for long time defending the Mac - side :-)
Just think about, if you not really need the Mac OS ....

btw, of cause I still have my old Macs .... :-) , the oldest is an Apple II from about 1978 ....
I am not a ›full-time gamer‹, just around 1h/day or less, so there are for me personally more benefits with Mac OS like e.g. the vulnerability for viruses. Nevertheless, all our microphones, cameras and keystrokes are being intercepted by NSA, GCHQ; no matter whether Mac or PC.

Do you think about this, when using your computer? I, as some kind of liberty and human rights activist, even don't often do.

*If there are any petty mistakes in my text, please correct it, so that I am able to improve my English.*

Do you have installed bootcamp and windows on your mac? This would make you play windows - games ....
Nope, it wouldn't be worthwhile to me, because it takes so much harddisk space and just for one game... no...
