Stuck at airfield no matter what I try

I've looked for walktroughs, other players their experiences, etc, etc but none of it is working for me.
I'm stuck at the airfield, the vehicle with allied troops just keeps getting destroyed.
I've killed EVERYONE at the airfield, I've boobytrapped the machine gun posts and I've been sniping like mad, but no luck.
I don't even get to the point where I get told there are soldiers with panzerfausts.
What am I doing wrong?
Are there some guys out there I'm missing who somehow do more damage than the regular soldiers or something?

did you destroy 2 venicles before this point?
also you can try to complete this mission in coop.

Yes I destroyed the two german armoured vehicles.

You need to shoot the soldiers with Panzerscrecks. Look after them spcecial. Or the English troops will die.

On this point in the game, you see lots of enemy soldiers shooting on the allied cars. And look close to these enemys, some of them has panzerscreks, not them all. You need to shoot theese guys, because they can destroy the allied troops in the cars.

The vehicle gets destroyed before the panzerfausts even show up.

OP can do the mission, he's not incompetent. This event is a pain, but ive also experienced this issue as posted here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/238090/discussions/0/611696927918820870/

In my scenario, both of us are playing on Sniper Elite difficulty and as soon as we get to this event in the mission what OP describes also happens to us. Both of us have completed this game in singleplayer, on this difficulty, though. Coop keeps giving us trouble

Ive been looking for more concrete answers too but so far havent seen anything either :/

Can you tell what is destroying your allied troop(vehicle)? i.e. tank, etc?

Hi - Newbie here. Also stuck on Mission 7 at its ending scene, cannot complete. Is there a console code that can be entered that simply end this level and have done with it and move on ? Thanks.

Greetings from the UK, Mission 7 Pont du Fahs - protect the LRDG - started game as a cadet, until I got to this mission and failed repeatedly, despite help etc from Rebellion, so I decided to restart as a marksman, worked my way through to Mission 7 and yup got stuck there again - I really would like to complete this to carry on the game. Most of the videos I watched are pre- dated and show little high recoil on rifles or non at all - just incase u ask - I start left hand side of airfield and clear all including inside hangers - this is my relocation run, progressing through til both vehicles and enemies are dead, I then proceed to lay mines etc at points most enemy appear from once in the snipers nest I take position laying down (cut scene shows LRDG approaching) I automatically standup (why no idea) and have to crawl forward to my original point, at this time the LRDG is going past the first hanger with no help from me - cos of the number to be killed I feel the recoil is too high? but maybe thats me looking for an excuse

Mrs Emma Peel. Whilst exploring the airfield, have you booby-trapped the panzers that are lying around? Have you completed the side objectives? I tend to do all this BEFORE collecting the map from underground and then taking out the radio-operator. Also, have you opened up the sniper's nest in the tower? Plus, DON'T blow up the fuel tanks! By all means take-out the bomb dump, But leave the fuel tanks. When you get to the snipers nest to cover the LRDG, just take as many troops out as you can, as quick as you can! After about 20 or so, HE usually says "Panzershrecks!! Better take them out first!" then u tag 'em, and shoot 'em. Hope this helps :-)

greetings and thanks - I recall reading a message saying Mrs.Emma Peel gave up on this mission, glad to know u stuck it out, re my method of play clear out left side of airfield including both hangers - this provides my relocation run, then the right hand side and both hangers/halftracks - during the game I stash my explosives as soon as I have 2 of just incase I find and cannot take it also saves me remembering where I killed the guy with dynamite - radio ops and watchtowers and freed prisoners gives me freedom to wonder around and plant what ever explosives I can find in the best spots. Re the rocket launchers "panzers" you call them I do run around and empty them (shoot them) at any object, my booby traps are kept for the final fight. Just wish I had a truck full of them :-). my basic problem lies in the fact that recoil is high, so aiming at another target is slow, I have stopped the kill cam to also save time, also from the nest it impossible to try and support LRDG further up the runway - guess it's a game of patience, try and try again, changing rifles appears to have NO reduction in recoil - gonna try and tweek my mouse next and hit them again - thks for your input - do u know of anything I should not do prior to LRDG arriving that may change the way the game is played out?
