Siwa Oasis... officers bugged?

hey all,

i'm stuck on siwa oasis. every time i climb the ladder to the vantage point, the officer gets alerted and runs away. i've cleared the entire map of enemies as far as i can tell, i've spent a ton of time running around the map, shooting random explosives to make noise/draw soldiers out... I can't find anyone else to kill, but he keeps getting alerted.

is this a possible bug, or is there something i'm missing?

MAAAAAn....firs time when I play in this mission I have game failed cause I dont select any officer. I make quickload and... after load I hear explosion and officers running WTF? I restart mission and I have this same situation like you....♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs

in fact you have to point your binoculars to the hand of the injured officer. Quick save are bug because their doing the explosion you have made before at the same time, and this part of the mission require no alert. This bug is really annoying in many mission and you have to restart the entire game if you don't take care of: i just save near a nebelwerfer that explose in the beginning of my mission... this broke the game completly

I have never seen this bug, others have commented that officers see dead bodies then run. They said hiding the bodies before going up the scafold works. Maybe it's my playing style but all my bodies are gone by the time I get there. And in fact you do not have have to only tag the officer with the wounded hand, I tag all of them dos'nt matter in what order. What I do is crouch going up the latter and as soon as cut scene is done I crouch again tag all the offcers and stay crouched till the end.

Having this glitch now, over a year after the last comment in this thread. So my beloved
Rebellion have not corrected this. Climb the ladder, officers get spooked, game over. Yes, need to restart the mission. Sorry Rebellion, I'm not in good health, life is short and could be over any moment, plenty of games to play. Uninstall and cancel Sniper Elite 4 pre-order.

Restarting the mission didn't help, I get a mission fail when the three discuss sharing in the glory of divulging Vahlen's treachery. They're not even walking away yet, so it's not bodies that they find or something. Besides, the mission doesn't have that fail state. On PS4 I didn't bother hiding bodies and this sequence went fine. It's a PC version glitch, and has put me off purchasing SE4. Good timing.

Spooked Officers hey ! i will try this Map again , does it not say some where sort of baloons up on screen kill the Officer { make it look like an accident } or did i read that some where.

Thanks for the reply! But no, that's not a requirement. It's optional to make it look like an accident, but not stated as required. Again, played this on PS4 when it came out with no issue, same play style. It's definitely a glitch, doesn't happen to everyone. Thanks again

Like you say must be bug , so I got the Bars*ed and took him with me :)

It's OK Pig, and sorry for breaking the quote. I didn't break the game though! Haha even tried uninstalling and re-downloading. Have given up on this, life's too short and all that
