Sniper Elite v2 is boring, this seems to be the same

So I've tried giving v2 three chances all I feel is when I play, I try to do it stealthy. Well, they don't let me.

I get through a tiny bit being stealthy, then they make me go head on in guns blazing.

For an example, started off in a level, killed a guy with the pistol, a couple more sneaking around the right side of the map around the road that has guards loaded on it, killed one guy in this somewhat leveled building (ground floor, only walls). Then I hit a dead end and the only place I can go is back on the road. So I go back a bit to the beginning of the road out of sight of the guards down it. I cross the street and try to find an entrance to this building which you can see in the windows of. As I'm crossing the road I get hit by a sniper round from a sniper down the road past the enemies that are on it and he's up in like a third story of a building. What's weird is the guards on the ground have no reaction what-so-ever to this sniper or whom he's shooting at. So then I go to the beginning of this road, go up a couple stories, and snipe the sniper.

OH NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE GUARDS ON THE ROAD PAY ATTENTION TO THE SNIPER ROUNDS BEING SHOT OFF. They start taking cover, knowing my exact location. *whatever* So I kill them off one by one as they try to get closer. Apparently, the building that I tried to get into as the sniper first shot me had a MG nest at the beginning of the road, facing the building I shot the sniper and all the rest from. He was no big deal.

Now, after I've done all this I thoroughly search every part of this level that these events that I just explained.

1. There's no sneaky secret passage on the right where I first looked around. Just the aforementioned dead end and having to go back to the road.

2. There's NO way into the building I tried to enter after crossing the street, even though there was a guard and MG nest in it.

3. I had to take out the sniper, because going down the road was the only way to my objective.

Finally, enemy sniper or no, I'd had to still take out the guards one by one with them noticing me because they was too close together.

Every time I play this game it's "you have to shoot one guy with the sniper, alert the rest, pick them off" or "sneak around with your silenced pistol and kill everybody with that". I'd be fine with the second one, but they barely give you any ammo for it because you know... You're a sniper, not a "pistol man".

I went half way through the game, my second try and this is how it felt all-the-time. I wish there was a good stealth mechanic in this game.

Well ... you are fully right .. SV2 and SE3 sucks in many ways ... single player game has so many of such ridiculus issues that is hard to believe that are not coded by a drunk monkey ...

Nevertheles once you find how to deal with the orrible coding the game can be ... satisfactory .. not amazing not super ... just nice...

ALL THAT CANGE WHEN YOU CAME TO MULTIPLAYER... some game bugs still persist but when yo have to deal with other real person opponents or team-mates is all another story ...

My personal advice is .. try to enjoy the SP as it is without a too much critical eye ... doesnt worth the efford .. and a bit of humor ... customize with the rifle of your choice and then go for MP
