It's called an opinion. Google it.
Anyway, having been bored by Elite 3, I looked at V2 and bought it on Steam, but I hate playing these games with keyboard and mouse so had to buy an XBOX 360 contoller. Now compared with Elite 3 this game is brilliant IMHO...it is so difficult (for me at least) whereas Elite 3 is just so easy it's boring after a while, and the V2 storyline is more realistic and believable. The urban warfare factor makes it more difficult also because you're always exposed, even when you think you're in cover you find there's yet another sniper taking shots at you.
My only complaint about V2 is the fact you can't save it where you want and have to make it to each checkpoint, and also there are times when you get killed and instead of asking you to restart the checkpoint, it asks you to restart the game. The only way to avoid losing what you've achieved is to exit tyhe game, restart and continue. Other than these points the game is great.
What I can't understand is the designer's thinking when creating Elite 3. It's a good enough game, and it's less linear than V2 giving you more options to achieve your objective, but it's so easy, the storyline is quite boring and unbelievable, and it's over far too soon with just 8 easy levels, and that's on Sniper Elite mode I'm playing. Yes it is harder on the realistic mode with no aim assist (I prefer this on V2 also) and no saves, but the levels are too long to keep going back to the start if you're killed halfway through a level, especially on one like Halfaya Pass.
I hope if and when they make a 4th version, they combine the good aspects of each. A save option, not checkpoints, and a more believable storyline and more levels.
My point is go troll elsewhere.
Except I'm not trolling because I actually believe anyone who thinks V2 is the best Sniper Elite has terrible taste in video games. Story was bland, levels were linear, booby traps essentially useless due to linear levels, and really the one thing it had going for it was the xray bulletcam and the nice graphics when compared to the first. The third game is much more like the first since it has those open-ended levels...but the DLC thing is, without a doubt, annoying and stupid.
So say that, don't come in here and insult me. If you think insulting someone based on their opinion isn't trolling then you need to google the definition of that word. Consider the way you reply to others before you do so.
Stop derailing this thread, this conversation is over.

MAN YOU ARE ON A SPREE
and also my opinion:
my favorite game in the series is sniper elite 3 so far, i really did not enjoy V2, mostly because of the level design (i do not like linear levels and i start hating them whenever the player can not decide if he wants to go loud or sneaky).
even if its way easier to complete every level in the game by just using the welrod (in my opinion) instead of actually using the sniper rifle, i nearly made it threw every level in the campaign without killing a unit silently (Authentic difficulty).
You are only in agreement because you share his thoughts, the thing is though. You expressed those thoughts without being a ♥♥♥♥ about it. See the difference? Compare your response to his and then tell me his response wasn't rude.
