Got you. So I would still alert them by the barrel exploding. Isnt there a way NOT to alert them by the barrel exploding. Surely during the sound effect the explosion would also be drowned out. Is it that it takes to long to blow up or does the enemy see it. Or is it because the explosion is to loud.
Also.....
Can you get bullet-time when firing upon explosive barrels or does that just work with the jeeps petrol tanks. Also sometimes bullet-time dosnt even work. I line up the shot, taking distance and wind direction into account and fire, and still no bullet-time. All I end up doing is Incapacitating them and alerting them.
Sorry to be a nuisance. I cant see any pulsing vibration effect in the upper right corner of my combat screen. Does this only appear if you are using the sniper rifle. Is it something I have to turn on in options.
Duh! Sorry. Disregard my previous post. I found something to do with VIBRATION in my options. However, it is set to OFF and I cant alter it because VIBRATION is greyed out. Is this option only available on a different difficulty setting.
edit:
God! I am as thick as two short planks. The VIBRATION setting is only available if I have a controller. Seen as I have a PC, mouse and Keyboard it wont work. Correct?
Assuming that you're referring to the visual indicator that displays when ambient sounds are supposed to mask your shots, it should show regardless of which weapon is in hand. Whether or not non-sniper shots are masked I have no idea, as I've never tried it that way.
