If you are in a snipers nest, use your binoculars and check the environment. Or watch one of the tutorials on youtube, they will show you the targets to kill.
Did it seem like this target on the far hill had a sheet of invisible rubber wrapped all around him? I have seen examples on YouTube where console players showing their walkthroughs get this - the long shot in question without ANY bother to them
I've done it, it is not so hard. It took me about 5-7 shots to kill that mofo.
I am not sure 100% but I have feeling that it is needed to aim with that red diamond thingy a bit higher than it shows. Like it has massive bulet drop at that range, maybe that is what bothers you.
But, if you are going just for the ach., why not on cadet ? That is "laser", no bullet drop, where you put the cross, there will land.
Btw. longest shoot on SE I've had there is 647.26m
Or maybe you are just frustrated and rushing, if so, leave it for some other time. You will get it in few shots. Sometimes it is the best way.
I really want it bad
You're not wrong it certainly bothered me LOL I was pulling my Jaysus hair out trying to get it last night !! Theres defn. something odd about the way that diamond carat works there in this beeatch
I think the difficulty might be due to something I missed doing before attempting on this map.
I mean maybe the player has to get SOME objectives done like visiting the other two discoverable nests - BEFORE they can attempt THIS long shot with any hope of success
So did you Baba Manga use the other 2 nests before getting this Long Shot ?
Maybe Ill try to save it 5 mins before I get to that spot
Now Ive got that long shot proved to myself at least that you can go straight up to that nest and do the long shot So the game is still non-linear
I don't mean rushing like your way of playing, but unconscious rush because of frustration.
i.e. I started campaign on Authentic yesterday, done 1st mission without problem, 2nd mission was going smooth, and then bam. At the end of mission, already killed last officer, planted mines for vehicle when I loot him, all done. That's what I meant :P One Italian mofo which I do not know how I did not see him (and how he did not see me while I was planting mines) killed me from bushes.
After that I restarted and tryed again, but every try I was worse than the one before.
So, I left it. This morning done it in 1st try.
TBH I don't remember, I was never paying attention on order, and I think that does not matter. If you can see him, you can kill him.
Like I said in my last post, try to aim higher, I think that is how I got him, I was surprised how bullets are landing in sand below him when I was aiming for the head/torso (it is really hard to see as you know), so I disregarded what aimbot is showing (horizontaly still helps). Even than I shot his grenade and he went to pieces. Something is wrong here for sure, diamond is showing wrong for some reason. It is not calculating bullet drop as it should.
I hope you will get him soon.
EDIT: man I hate writing on forum while I am on the phone, you wrote 1/2hr ago that you got him, and I am then posting this lamentation :P
Gratz.
Check each sniper nest out. Only one of them will have the long shot sign in or close to it. The sign is a sniper sight, circle with cross through it ( O almost like this), and next to it is a series of I's counting how many targets have been hit, (for ex IIII IIII II for 12). Once you settle into the sniper nest, the long shot is usually straight ahead from the nest, so use your binoculars first to get a clearer view and if needed, tag the target. Then, if safe to do so, shoot...
If you are still unsure, check the first level, only one actual sniper nest there, in the tower next to the tents and gunners and 2 wandering guards and a guard bent down examining some barrels. Once in the tower, you'll see the sniper sign and the target is dead ahead in the upper windows of the building.
