Sniper Elite 3 PC - i5 2500k/GTX 770 - MAXED OUT - Performance Benchmark
This video shows just how terrible the optimisation is with this game.

1. Maxing out gpu - yet the cpu is using half a core
2. Cpu priority automatically set to low once starting the game, casuing the game to use 1 cpu core over the 4 that i have
3. Broken - please fix it

Wow I feel for you dude. You should easily be able to get a pretty consistent 60 FPS+ with EVERYTHING maxed out. The only thing you might have to sacrifice would be one step down from Supersampling at 2.25x, but even that you might not have to do.

I'm not sure if its an Nvidia problem, but I play at an extremely solid framerate of 50-60 FPS (Vsync is on) with everything maxed out and Supersampling at 2.25x. I can even play with SS on 4x but the frames dip below 30 at times, so its not really worth it to me with the current drivers.

I'm using an i7 2600 and a 7950 Boost, both at stock clocks, so you should easily be doing as good or better than me.

EDIT: This configuration is @ 1080p

Everything maxed, 2560x1600.

I get 30FPS with SS set to 4x, 35FPS at 2.25x, and 60 frames with no supersampling.

4GB GTX770, 8GB DDR2, Q9650 Core2Quad (stock speed), W7.

I7 4770K @ 4.2 GHz and heavily oc'ed 760 + 12 gigs of ram can't max this out either.

Not speaking bout supersampling ofc.

CPU priority has nothing to do with how many cores the game uses.

Apparently it's an Nvidia problem, running an AMD card here with everything on Ultra and it is working 60/60

It does actually

I have mine on ultra with an i7 2600k, gtx680, 16gb ram.. not problems at all (well, except for my poor skill, but that's another issue)

Monitor your framerate before you say you have no issues

i5 3570k @ 3.9ghz...gtx 780...w7 64 bit,16 gigs ram...frame rate is just fine and runs at 70-80 fps and much of the time well above 100fps with 2x aa , no super sampling and everything else as high as it can go. + running about 60-70% of my gpu not 100%.. and this frame rate is WITH prioritizing my temps and Not power in EVGA precision which means my gpu downcocks itself to stay within the max temps i set for it.

Call Bs..go ahead..I have 6 hours recorded footage showing my FPS rate ion the game constantly.. http://www.twitch.tv/crazycanukk/c/4575362

Thats not the point of this video, the point of this video is that the game lags on my rig like nothing i have ever seen before and the fact that the game is using 1 cpu core with a max of around 60-70% shows that it needs to be able to run with more cores in order to process the game with a stable framerate...

Thats great yours works, but on my setup the performance is horrible

Maybe the problem is in your rig then??

Supersampling is demanding. More news at 11.

most games run on only 1 core..it's an unfortunate fact. it's not optimization as much as game engine limitations. More Modern engines can utilize more than one core...Frostbite can use more than a single core because the engine is built to enable that ability. This games engine isn't currently designed to run on more than 1 core. game engines are long tern investments and unfortunately many games are built on engines that were started to be designed many years ago.

as for Why your proc is running so poorly..try disabling core 0 only on the game exe in task manager for the game and see if it forces the game to spread the load over the remaining core.

if your using supersampling..don't. it's VERY intensive on your system and unless you're running a beefier proc then a 2500k its not suggested and if your processor isn't overclocked..then over clock it if you have the cooling..this will definitely help. But regardless you are trying to expect a 2500k which was average when released in 2010 and only scores 6,400 on passmark to run a game in 2014 that taxes processors that score far higher like the 3770k that scores 9,600.

Not saying the 2500 is a bad proc..but it is now 2 generations old and was a god but average processor when new.

No most games run on mostly 2 cores with at least 30-40% usage on the other 2 (for quad core)... the fact the game isnt even running at above 60% and maxing out my gpu for no reason even though the memory isnt even full....

If i turn off dx11 it runs ok but still not the greatest

2 gen old processor has nothing to do with performance in this game, if it is then the devs need to spread the load between each of my cores...

Thats not my problem it would be their mistake... now granted they ask for feedback yet dont even fix anything or even hint at a fix for this type of bs...

Well sorry but its not acceptable either way as in comparasion to sniper elite v2 it looks slightly better.... there is no reason for it to be behaving this way.

Not to mention the game only uses under 500MB of system ram yet uses around 1.4GB of vram O.o that doesnt even make sense
