Ghost?

Only until the 3rd mission have I seen the text "GHOST" appear on screen along withb a sound, an icon of a soldier appears in the top middle of the screen and my relocation bar is white and only barely filled on the bottom.

I got no tooltip for it...what is it?

I'm not entirely sure myself. I was getting "Ghost" a lot as well.

Atm, the only thing useful about ghost is you can just get extra xp if you kill enemies while in ghost mode.

I think it happens if:

1) You are exactly pinpointed by the enemy (the yellow triangle in your minimap)
2) You then run away unnoticed (notice the ~30m distance near the minimap, just make it go 0m)
3) You are downgraded to yellow status in the minimap
4) You will get ghost status

That's not 100% correct: if you shoot an enemy wtihout being noticed, you will become a 'ghost'. So they will first look out for you => They don't see you => You become ghost

I wasn't trolling...I always play on the hardest difficulty. So the "ghost" image and stuff I never saw before, cuz you can't see it on the hardest.

Um, okay lol. Except that I definitely always do play hardest in any game I play, Sniper Elite games included...but considering you are steam level 0 and private, I assume you are in fact the troll.

I got ghost status after killing an enemy, being noticed and then realocating. I hope it works for you!
