Rebellion, the developer of Sniper Elite 3 appear to have pulled one of the largest scams that the game industry has ever seen! We have conclusive evidence and proof. More information coming soon!

The sniper elite 3 standard edition keys we are selling are not affected by any problems, but we do have full proof to show that certain pre-order editions bought directly from the publisher have been illegitimately revoked by Rebellion in an effort to force users to buy directly on Steam. Over 60 retailers have been affected. We will have a blog post published shortly with all of the information as it develops.

Will be interesting to see what they say. I did supply a facebook page link but was removed for unknown reasons.

I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. They are trying to save face since they bought stolen goods and didnt check their suppliers.

They did not properly check their suppliers.
I dont see how you can make this Rebellions fault? Some one STOLE a bunch of codes (can be done in several way, stealing of phys copies, game inlays/sticker etc) and then proceeded to SELL these keys to key sites.
Its like someone steals a phone and then sell it to an mobile shop. You then buy itfrom the shop and then the original owner block the phone remotely/via IMEI. You dont start yelling at the guy whose phone got stolen, you turn to the reseller and ask wtf they are doing selling stolen phones!

For the record i had also bought my key from Simplycdkeys and it got revoked, but now reordered through amazon(which sells steamcodes and are totally fine as is several other stores that have bought in new legit keys so the whole OMG everybody has to buy on steeeeaaam whine is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥)

They should honor the keys that people bought and take the loss.
Key security is not the buyers problem or something we can do, Rebellions reputation is taking a hammerring and i'm still waiting for a refund.

They have the same right as anyone else. They buy in the copies, sell them on. That's how retail works.

Too bad that this kinda ♥♥♥♥ is against Steams ToS, EULA and just about any other agreement you have with Valve. Why don't you people get this? It's illegal so sell Keys for Steam except when Valve explicitly authorises a certain retailer.

All they have to do is produce receipts for the keys they bought from Rebellion. Then Rebellion is busted. 60 vendors all of sudden all bought stolen keys including big names like GMG? Not likely.

I have bought my game off GMG, and have not had this issue. AT ALL. Should also be noted, nothing has been mentioned at all from GMG about this issue. On their facebook, their forum or any other method of communication so far.
