Threat Assessment Achievement - Bugged? *DLC Spoilers*
So I just completed the "Hunt The Grey Wolf" DLC and at the end where you get to choose to take the shot or not I decided to let him leave. So I waited for him to drive away and then headed to exit the level as per the marker (because it is obvious it isn't Hilter, what with the very clear clues they give you along the way).

From what I've read (after experiencing this problem) this is where I should of received the "Threat assessment" achievment, which makes sense going on the description. It didn't pop, so I reloaded a save and decided this time to kill him.

This time I shot him, the achievement popped along with Sweating bullets (for shooting him) and Fast-moving target (for killing him in the car), which obviously implies that it was Hilter lol.

So did this happen for anyone else? Or did you get it at the correct time? Seems to be bugged for me at least, nothing critical of course, but it does somewhat throw the story of the mission out of whack.

I believe its designed this way. From what I've seen online, you're meant to do that mission twice; once letting him go and once killing him. The trick is (which you seemed to have inadvertently done here) to save before the shot and load it again so you don't have to do the level completely over again.

I've not done the DLC yet, but this is what I've watched, read and heard.

Yes there are many achievements for the different ways to kill the "target", so a save just before you pick a vantage point is key. That being said the achievement states "Observed the target and made the right choice.", surely killing someone who is just a decoy isn't the right choice, so it should of been achieved when I first observed the target and left him to drive away.

If it does work the way you suggest and you must leave the target once and kill the target once to get it, then the achievement description needs to be altered and be called something like "All the bases covered" imho.

Considering how many bugs the game has, it is a very minor gripe, just seems like it goes against the whole DLC narrative.

I wouldn't be surprised if it IS a bug with the achievement tbh. I've just completed the game 100%, all the collectables, sniper spots, bonus objectives etc and it only awarded me the playing cards and long shot achievement, not the war diaries, sniper spots or bonus objectives.

I'm currently having to play through again with a clean save file to try and see if I can get them to trigger.

tsk tsk Rebellion dropped the ball on this one man.
