Is there a suppressor in the game?
If yes, then where it is?

The only supressor you'll get is, using your surroundings to mask your shots. That's it.

Well, this is mainly down to the fact that silenced weapons were pretty much non-existent back in World War 2.
Notable exceptions are the British Welrod pistol and the High Standard HDM pistol employed by the OSS. Both weapons are present in Sniper Elite 3, although the latter only through DLC.

If Sniper Elite 4 has such nonsense, then it sounds like they dumbed down the game to make it more accessible for the not so smart players.

Wait the DLC isn't only for multiplayer?

Well, atleast the weapons were real.
And its true, acatualy there was no such thing as Suppresors, but instead Scilencer. They were usefull but slowed the bullets, so its only used for more High powered Rifles.

I'm not saying there were no silenced rifles and submachine guns at all during the war, but they were highly experimental, did not see much active service, and for the most part did not work well (they weren't much more quiet, they had a much reduced range, and/or they led to the gun being severely damaged over time).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsUALdGog4U&t=259s (Firing a reproduction DeLisle made to the original blue prints, with a cut down Mk III Enfield.)

As mentioned in the videos the .45 ACP is inherently sub sonic, unlike rounds like the 9mm parabellum. 1911's still kick like a mule when you fire them though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeORuvi9Ids (Suppressed Sten Mk IIS were also a thing, and MK 5.)

Considering the scope of the Sniper Elite games, it would make sense that Fairburne would have access to some of these things, as he is a highly specialized member of British Naval Intelligence, probably under the OSS, and it is a work of fiction based upon some real life thing.

These guns on the other hand, are real.

Nice! The sten might indeed be feasible. But the grease gun's silencer at the time was a clinical disaster (it hardly muffled the sound at all, but thoroughly affected the accuracy, range and weight). And (afaik) the De Lisle only saw action late during the war in the Pacific and France, never in North Africa.

Not very commonly issued, and could lead to the suppressor being worn out, but the rubber wipes in the Welrod could be replaced. Actually, some of them worked very well, and were very quiet, see the videos I posted on the DeLisle, they just didn't see much active service, as once Overlord happened, well, not much need to be all that sneaky.

Hey wow, you're a veritable treasure trove of footage! I appreciate :)

I was also thinking of the scoped Winchester, in as far as that can be treated as a 'sniper' rifle, which apparently wasn't sturdy enough to support having so many attachments jerry-rigged on while being intensively used.
