Cloak and Dagger Side Mission glitch
I don't realy know if its a glitch but when I take out all the MCB gang members and leave he main target alive it does not complete the mission. For some reason no matter what I try I can't complete the mission. Is anyone else having this problem?

That is a good bug that has not been fixed since the normal edition. If you have a tranq gun or a crossbow. there was a trick to get around it by shooting at a certain spot in teh game because for whatever reason teh npc teleported to there. I'll snoop around to see if I can find the video of where to shoot

I was struggling with this bug for a couple of hours, testing all the workarounds and loading old save files. Real pitty Eidos still didn't fix such a huge bug.

Basically, one of the MCB gang members does not spawn properly. He either walks right ABOVE the room other gang members are in, or is levitating somewhere above the town. In the former case you can try to force him appear in the kitchen by making sounds, sounding an alarm etc. or going back to another location (like LIMB clinic). That last bit was the only way I managed to get him down personally. In the latter case the gang member can supposedly be dealt with with a sniper rifle, but I didn't manage it, plus I was going for the Pacifist, so I didn't even want to risk it.

Overall, Eidos should really get to it and fix this bug. I'm surprised they didn't do so for the Director's Cut, as the bug is not PC-exclusive and occurs on consoles as well.

What I did is long before you take that side mission, If you visit that appartment there will be two mcb there.. Knock out/Kill thsoe two guys and leave them on two of the beds in the appartment. When you come back to do the original mission, Those two mcb you dealt with will still be there, But the new ones will spawn in the proper spots (And apparently have NO issue with the other two guys knocked out right in front of them)

Just one of the many, MANY screwups that was never a problem in the original version. This is why companies need to stop making halfassed console ports and claim it as an 'HD ' or 'Remastered' version when the original pc chassis was perfectly functional. (this being as I understand it a port of the WiiU chassis.)

True. And on top of that I never did get around that glitch. I tried to keep playing for a few hours well into the next area but a glitched mission I couldn't complete just killed it for me. I never should have "upgraded" to the director's cut.

Yeah but none of us had a choice. The preferred version and DLC is no longer available. Some of use are stuck with two copies now. The original good version (Minus crappy boss battles) and the newer broken inferior one :/

I bought the bundle to get Mankind Divided as well as Win10 compatible versions of the older Deus Ex games, and am finally doing a play through of Human Revolution Director's Cut; For One the commentary is awesome... and...

Two... Thank you goes to @Kaidian for the posting of the YouTube video. Since I've gone through the game before, I literally zipped right through the steps for Cloak & Dagger only to find myself looking for a rooftop entrance for about an hour that didn't exist because I was being directed to get that one leftover baddie throughout the entire game map. It was driving me nuts.

This is one of those things that's easy to laugh about afterwards, but not while going through it. Yowza!

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread. Super helpful. :)

Just an update about this glitch, it isn’t a glitch. You need to go to the top of the fire escape and look toward the roof where the marker is. You will see the informant/gang member hiding up there. You can shoot or tranq him from there.

I don't know how or why they work, but I found two methods that might help. Firstly: loading saves while in the general area of the map (where the glitched NPC is still actively loaded), but not in the apartment itself seems to be able to moved the NPC from being way outside the area high up in the sky, to still being high up, but above the apartment. Secondly: some times when jumping with the "Jump Enhancement Augmentation" close to the highest points of the map, while being away from the apartment, the glitched NPC will move downward a bit. Managed to coax him down into the apparment using these two methods
