Hurting for Stun Gun and Tranquilizer Rifle ammo
I have the game set to the highest difficulty.

Am I seriously expected to hide from everyone I see? That would be monumentally boring.

If I killed everyone I came across, I'd have no problems. There is plenty of lethal ammo to be had.

The two black market vendors I've found have no more non-lethal ammo I need, and I'm not finding this stuff just laying around. I read that vendors restock, but I've not noticed--they are always out of what I need most.

I'm amazed that there is no ammo to be found anywhere around Serif HQ.

If this is all there is, then I need to start over from the beginning and use more take downs.

Most of the time you don't even need to take anyone down.

Yeah....I'm not into the whole "hide from everyone" style of gameplay. I couldn't get into the Thief games for that very reason. I enjoy the takedowns, Stun Gun, and Tranquilizer Rifle.

Perhaps I will be fine if I rely more on takedowns and less on those non-lethal weapons. Derelict Row will be tough without my Tranquilizer Rifle....

I've never run into ammo issues, traquilizers or otherwise, because I focus on doing non-lethal takedowns for the majority of the game. They are worth the most XP (50). My tranquilizer Rifle gets more of a workout at Panchea though; by then I've accumulated over 100 rounds (and since they don't give you XP on that level, takedowns are a moot point). I've moved away from using lethal weapons, except for the sniper rifle, which I use almost exclusively for the Hensha ambush. Then, I sell it and replace it with the laser rifle for the final battle.

There are small stashes of tranquilizers scattered throughout the game. One particularly good spot is the locker found in Double T's bathroom (Detroit Apartments).

LOVE the video!

I am NOT going to run through without firing a single shot, doing a single takedown, etc. Deus Ex was a great role-playing experience, and I want the same from this. That is more important to me than some silly achievement.

I do respect other choices in game play. I just don't have the time or energy.

I am near the end of the first mission and haven't used any ammo. I did kill the baddies from the prologue. Again, role-playing.

To be honest, takedowns are much more efficient. In my pacifist runs I always have an excess of tranqs/stun ammo (at least 1 stack each) because of takedowns.

Also,

Better use PEPS there. Also, had fun using the Icarus stun on multiple crazies when dropping down certain areas.

Personally I always had more than enough non-lethal ammo, but I didn't try to clear every single room with them either.

You could try putting points into battery recharge and Reflex Booster and use your (infinitely replenishing) takedown instead of stun gun ammo.

Tranqilizer guns and ammo, much like the equally silent crossbow, tend to be more well hidden than stun gun ammo, so I suggest you only use it when you deem it necessary. The stun gun does actually have a bit of range, tho not much.
