[Spoiler] Some questions abt the Namir fight
So, I upgraded my chip. And then, I kept dying in the Namir fight like A MILLION TIMES! Eventually beat it after 20+ tries in 90 mins or so. Not knowing how injured he is, can't use Typhoon etc made it a nightmare. Eventually, I got to know his attack patterns, but then I would run out of ammo. Had 1000 for laser rifle, and 300+ each for machine pistol and combat rifle.

In any case, I have a question to ask. I hear some people saying you CAN use your special augs despite the chip upgrade (includes typhoon, cloak and smart vision). However, this was NOT the case for me.

So, which is the correct version?

I don't know the answer for your question, but if you're looking for an alternate option, you could try taking down Namir when he jumps over a wall (by waiting on the other side and using the takedown when he's about to land on you).
I think it was fixed.

You cannot use any augs if you have upgraded version of the chip...I have no idea where you could have read anything else, but clearly the person who wrote it was wrong.

Two different responses:

"As @Adeese mentioned, your augs still have some functionality even with the "upgraded" chip. They were not available straight away, so I think maybe your cells start empty and recharge very slowly. Anyway after a certain period of time of firing from cover and running away, I was able to use the Typhoon which finished off Namir quite quickly. "

"I had the same problem - no augmentations, and had to defeat this boss. I noticed that I was able to use some of my augmentations, but there was no UI indications that they were on. For example, I have the augmentation that allows me to see NPCs through walls. Even under the effects of the EMP, I could turn this on and it would work. However I would have no idea how much battery power I had left, so I just had to wing it. If my batteries were empty, the "no energy" warning did appear, so there is that at least."

Why not just get the grenade lancher and directly hit him with 6 of them, always works for me when I play and I only play on "Give Me Deus Ex"

grenade launcher is given when ya rescue the kid for the shanghi boss. he either gives you one, or its on the floor next to him. cant remember off top of head. 6 nades on the boss and done. if it doesnt go in bag, check to see if you have enough room. if not then drop/sell items befor leaving. either way nade launcher is best for this fight.

Best solution for the fight is to hack the gun turret on the main floor and take it down the elevator with you to the boss fight.
