I have a boxed copy of Deus Ex: HR you may be able to find one in a shop somewhere too.
Started another search, and figured that plenty of 3rd party gaming/sales sites still have Deux Ex HR Vanilla Steam Keys in their shops. Just grabbed one for 5.99 Eur - and I am already downloading the real experience.
This is from the Eidos Forums - for example check out Detroit 2, Original vs Directors Cut:

Those improved boss fights are not much improved imho. The end fight in the Missing Link is much better and allows non lethal actions. Also I hate how Eliza says that it is up to Jensen to save/let die Fedorova and after cut scene she is dead... it just does not make sense.
Both versions have (imho) terrible cutscenes, if those were rendered in game they would look much better and more seamless. And graphics are different in both versions but I would not say that one is better than another.
There are also some minor (at least for me they are minor) bugs in Director's Cut. I hope they will fix them without asking other money.
The truth is that for extra money I would expect improved version and not different one. Integration of Missing Link is great, improved Boss fights are great too, different graphics are not improvement imho, they are simply different. And new (and old) bugs are really stupid and I wonder why I have to pay for them:)
PS: NewGame+ is improvement as well, however after several playthroughs I prefer not to use my augments if I do not have to. Facctory Zero in Missing Link is a real challenge and I somehow miss that challenge with all my augments:)
If i am lucky the DC will be even better at a later moment.
(a bit off topic) What do you think, shall i go for pacifist run at the first game, or keep that for the Directors Cut?
I actually love stealth, but probably too hard to go 100% stealh on the first run.
@Lukensen: I found the Buglist for the DC, which is quite impressive:

Actually from the links you posted the DC version shows alot more fine detail. About the only thing it is missing is the yellow tint. So really from those pics the DC version looks better. Unless you can't live without the yellow.
As for me the DC version runs just fine. I also like the intergrated DLC and the revamped Boss fights. Thoug I do miss the yellow personally on the other side of the coin I like the improved texure and detail.

They had a 75% discount during the holiday sales. If you are lucky, they may get another discount soon.
@Rigged, what more fine detail? there is not a single extra polygon or better texture in the DC version.
@Rigged: Seems they changed the details for objects afar, everything far away looks way more blurry.
Also of major note for DEHR original is that the boss battles are all combat.. GL with a stealth play through.
DC has its issues tbh, but I'm not sure its worth going back to the original with the stuff it did fix (Boss fights and the DLC being integrated as it should've been all along)
Is it tradeable though? Sure theres a ton of old copies floating about that could get traded off...
I'm pretty sure you can. I got the original from a different retailer and then bought the new version from steam and I have both games in my library. I intend to complete two playthroughs to be able to compare.
Same here. Game runs fine for me & looks better than the original. I just bought the DC upgrade & now I like the game. I didn't before. :)
Quite frankly as short as the game is I would not want to remove the DLC and play vanilla again. Even with doing all the DLC and every side quest I finish the game pretty quickly. I'm on my 6th play through at this point (all achievements are long since 100% complete). I just choose a different play style and/or primary weapon each time.
The only thing that even makes the game take a while is if you decide to actually read every email and every book in the game. Which I've only done on one playthrough. On additional play throughs the game goes pretty quick when you only hack into the things you want/need and skip all the fluff story bits you've already seen.
I'm about to play through it again because I haven't actually listened to the directors commentary yet; I'll probably just do a murder rampage run and kill everything including civilians this time.
