Pistol, Revolver, or Both?
Should I really carry the Revolver along with a mostly upgraded pistol? (Armor piercing, laser, silencer + clip size addition). I try to play stealthy, but I keep the Revolver along for insurance, as well as certain parts of the game (namely in Hengsha, I'm sure veteran players will know what I'm talking about). However, the Revolver does hold precious space in my inventory. Do I really need to carry it along with the upgraded Pistol?

I wouldn't, really. For the boss battles and the certain Hengsha area, I just have an upgraded Typhoon. Takes up less inventory space and does a lot more damage. The upgraded pistol is sufficient for almost everything else in a lethal run, I find.

After Barrett, I just used the Typhoon. I MIGHT pick the Revolver up for that first boss battle on my second playthrough, but I'd probably drop it afterwards.

So far as i have seen in most of the games the pistol seems to be the best choice

Just in case I usually carry both Revolver and Pistol and also Sniper rifle, bunch of grenades and 2-3 full packs of mines. And sometimes tranq. rifle. I also always take Grenade laucner and keep it too. And then I finnish every mission with ghost and carry all that stuff to the very end of the game unused

If you're playing mostly stealth, I would just take whatever weapon you enjoy more. I'm doing my 2nd playthrough (first for Director's Cut) and the only weapon I've used is the tranq. Otherwise I've stealthed and found other means of getting through (including bosses). I'm sure certain weapons make the game easier, but after 1.5 playthroughs, I feel like any weapons can work with a bit of skill.

revolver is awesome with exploding amo.. it is like the mini handheld grenade launcher. I have pistol for delicate stuff and revolver for super loud problems

Fully upgraded, the 10mm pistol is the best, most useful weapon in the game, but it takes away a lot of fun from the game.

Kinda similar to the bow in crysis 3.
