Game does not acknowledge gpu?

Thought I was in the mood of playing some DXHR again today, but found to my dismay that the game has a real hard time recognizing my gpu.
First start the options tab crashed when trying to select it. Set it at standard which is the onbard gpu but now it won't run through the actual gpu even if I force it through nvidia's control pannel or profile inspector.
Fixing it with a reg edit entry didn't help either.
Any words of wisdom there?

Nvm. I also had to set program energy priority to high so it would let me use the 4070 in win.

Hi! Can you please explain what you did and how more broadly. I tried almost everything to launch the game on my 4070Ti and it still doesn't work

Navigate to your system -> display -> graphics settings, it should have a list of programs for customized settings. There, find Deus Ex HR and change the settings to highest.
