What do you mean by "it's just a joke"?
Don't worry about it, just another computer illiterate user complaining about fps issues.
There are a few registry changes you can make to fix them. Search for "deus ex human revolution director's cut registry fix"
You're wrong.
Care to elaborate? I've had no issues since applying the tweaks.
I still don't understand why people is ranting about this version ...
... as for myself, I think this version is "awesome": in-game commentary, new approach to boss combats, new cut-scenes for some parts, various re-mastered areas, old dlc combined ... etc. I mean, shall you have played the "original" ... there is no reason not to love this new version.
Noty to mention many points where the missions hang, Making it impossible to continue.. Unconcious people suddenly dying making the Pacifist achievement a crap shoot to get, AIs that sometimes go hostile even if you're behind a wall.. AIs that go THROUGH walls or ceilings.. There's a whole bug list.
They basically took the WiiU version and made a crappy port instead of taking the original Deus Ex they'd already patched many of these issues on and make THAT into director's cut.. Seriously. Texture and AI and hanging mission bugs were all patched.
As it stands APPARENTLY they know about the bugs and APPARENTLY there's a fix coming but it's been quite a few months now and I don't see anything yet.
Tempted to actually walk over there and see if I can find out what's going on in person somehow.
... oddly, I have encountered none so far.
