How To Get The Gold Filter Back

Everyone has complained about it so I will not here, is there a way or a mod to get the Gold/Orange Unique filter back from the original release?

also my thought. i don't buy the DC as long as i can't enjoy the "unique" golden look with it

Lots of people complained about the golden "urine goggles" look of the original so they changed it for the directors cut. Now people want it back.

I doubt it would have been hard for this to be in the option screen....

Simple solution: Play the original!

No its just a visual style tweak that doesnt define anything.
Some people like it and some dont. Personally it doesnt bother me either way, game is still awesome. But it should be in the option screen.

And Steam doesnt offer the original version anymore so its not a "simple solution".

Download the sweetFX preset in the description of this video, and customize the bottom three options in the settings txt to however you see fit after extracting the files into the game's folder (I chose 1, 2, & 3 respectively myself): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tki8Cu1M6c

It's not a perfect fix, but it's better than nothing.

but still, it shouldn't be so hard for square to put the original filter as option in the game...^^

An option could be possible, but to be honest, that would add another 3-4Go of files just for that single option. Why? Because the yellow tint from the original game (which was actually called "Golden Bee tint". It was added to the game during mid-production because the dev really liked how the unique look of the Hive area was looking like.) is not just made possibe by the shaders, but also the textures and lights. To change the tint to the Director's cut version wasn't just about changing the color #XXXXXX to #XXYYXX or something, but they had to work on many textures that were made with the Golden Bee tint in mind.
(It's called color compositing and it's one of the many tasks managed by the textures artists based on the demand of the project manager.)

Maybe some of you wouldn't mind that 3-4 additionnal gigs to download, but that's not the same opinion for all.

Guys, I know it's a little bit late to comment in this thread but as Mankind Divided is almost being released I thought about playing DXHR so I've bought the DC version and installed. Instantly I've noticed that this was not the same game I've played in 2011 with all those beautiful gold lights and with an immerse environment.
I've searched a bit and found a mod made by Nofusama which brings the original gold light and even more beautifully than the original version which really reminds me of Blade Runner movie or even the DXHR CGI that was presented at that time. It really is beautiful and joyful to play the DC version of this game with his mod. By the way, you can hit the key "Scroll lock" to toggle the filter on and off to see the changes instantly.

As I said in the post before yours Pyro...install SweetFX configurator...it's a more simpler software to use and it works flawlessly with the filter that i've posted.
Yes, I was having problems with reshade as you are having now, it's a pretty complex software that causes a lot of trouble to get it working 100%.
Trust me, download SweetFX Configurator, download the mod in the link that is there and inside SweetFX Configurator tell the software to use the mod that you've downloaded. It's simple and effective. The Director's Cut of the game is absolutely amazing again with that mod.
