Will Adam Jensen have a trilogy?

Deus Ex Human Revolution is a diamond. Dude, I cried when I first finished it and watched the 4 endings. I like all characters, even Pritchard and the 3 mercenaries I like to hate, and Adam Jensen is one of my favourite protagonists ever. Not to forget the music, unique. And final chapter is surprising and stressful, that's really good writing.

UNFORTUNATELY Mankind Divided is weaker than HR in absolutely everything... First the worst part: it ignores all 4 endings and choices we made in HR. There's no excuse because Witcher, Dragon Age and Mass Effect sequels can be based on choices from previous games. The first chapters of MD and side quests could be based on choices we made in HR, so for example if Malik lives we could get a side quest from her, if she dies we could get from someone else. The ending where Adam dies could be retold that Eliza chose to save him because it believed he still had more to do, simple but would work. Besides that, none of the new characters is interesting, I don't even remember who the villains are. The music is not memorable, only the intro is comparable to the many good tracks from HR. The new augmentations are no big deal either, it feels more like an expansion of HR than a sequel. And the final chapter is not impactful, no close to what we see in HR.

It's not the worst sequel by Square Enix, there are much worse ones like Legacy of Kain Dead Sun, Thief reboot, Dungeon Siege 3, Front Mission Left Alive (2019's 2nd worst game), Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4, Kane & Lynch 2, etc. But among so many bad sequels/reboots, I wonder if they'll bring something GOOD in case they decide to make an Adam trilogy. I mean good, not mediocre but acceptable because the previous game was worse, like Tomb Raider 2013 after TR8 Underworld. Also, our choices in MD probably wouldn't matter anyway.

Yet I'm dumb enough to wonder if there will be a 3rd Adam Jensen game.

Your willingness to read is irrelevant. I asked if Adam will be protagonist again and how due to the previous plots, not if there will be another game in general.

Well, Adam Jensen is a prequel character. JC Denton is the original protagonist from the 2050s. And there's that guy nobody remembers from Deus Ex 2 in the 2070s.

There are ~20 years to cover between Mankind Divided and the First Deus Ex. The entire Harry potter storyline is covered in just 6 years, One Piece till now is only like ~3 years.

A lot can be done with Jensen and probably later Paul.

I know, but a Deus Ex 1 Remake would be nice after Adam's story.

Dont expect anything from square Enix, if by any chance they greenlight a remake, dont expect a decently budget that DX requires and if by some miracle they put some budget into it, dont expect a 1:1 remake, they will censor/change a lot of things if not completely ruin it with the woke culture thats plagued the west.

Let DX1 be the masterpiece it was and not let some moron ruin it.

EXACTLY! Square Enix loves doing 2 things: adding a lot of drama and forgetting the essence of a game at sequels or reboots. Thief reboot (dead), Legacy of Kain Dead Sun (dead), Kane & Lynch 2 (dead), Just Cause 4 (not dead, but 4 was terrible), Front Mission Left Alive (2019's 2nd worse game), Hitman Absolution (thank God Square lost the ownership), Tomb Raider reboot, Deus Ex (Mankind Divided ignores all choices made in Human Revolution and is far inferior), Dungeon Siege 3 (dead)... Maybe I forgot one, the list is huge.

In the Tomb Raider fanbase we count more on modders (creating Level Editor games, OpenLara, TR2 Remake and TR6 Remake) than on Square. Here, if we want a good Deus Ex 1 Remake with unaltered plot we'll probably have to count on modders to use Human Revolution engine.

Yooooo just popping in here to say that SE has somehow just sold Deus Ex and a BUNCH of other IPs for a mere $300m, because they want to invest that in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NFTS!! I really can't wrap my mind around this timeline at all anymore?!!?!!!

Yep, hopefully Embracer Group will revive the Deus Ex franchise for a third installment with Adam Jensen. There is now more hope then ever that we will get a new sequel.
