Game not launching-"BIGFILE.000 isn't large enough"

Verified game cache twice, it downloaded 13.6GB twice!!! Which is more than half of my monthly download limit. Still, the game doesn't launch. Size of the BIGFILE.000 is 2095860KB. Please help!!!!

There is an old discussion here. Do you run the game from an external hard drive?

Yes,I'm running it from external HD.

Well, I read that discussion, moved the game to the internal hdd with the application Steam Mover....but still the same problem. the exact message is - "Archive BIGFILE.000 isn't large enough! (should be at least 2146435071 bytes)".............feeling hopeless...last year I played the cracked version,and it went without any issues......now when I buy the original one,I'm getting this error!

If you have the patience you can try one more thing (not saying that it will cairtenly work, but, you know, just in case): download the game again directly to your internal drive (you have to create a new Library folder through Steam>Settings>Downloads>Content Libraries and select it when installing the game).
OR if you still have the cracked version
Do the above process but when Steam starts downloading, pause it, install the cracked version in the same folder Steam would install the game and then do a cache verification.

Well, tried that. But still the result is same. Do you have the game @Psyonicon? Can you confirm me the size of the BIGFILE.000?? In my PC, when I right click on the BIGFILE.000, it's size under property is (2,146,160,640 bytes). sorry for asking you again & again.And by the way, I deleted the craced version when I bought this game as I've shortage of space on my PC.

Ok, update! As @Psyonican adviced I put the the thing with Square Ennix support. They cold only give me the advice to uninstall the game,and re-install it again. Did that, and voila!!!! It's working..buttery smooth,touchwood.....I'm in the Sarif Plant mission now,hopee the rest of the game goes like too.
