Finding Isaias Sandoval - Meeting Malik

Interesting problem, or I've missed something. After finding Sandoval, I have to meet with Malik on the rooftop of my apartment. I get there and the helicopter lands, but, there's no Malik. I walked around the ship several times and I can't seem to trigger meeting with her.

So, a bug, or have I missed something?

She doesn't get out of the VTOL. You just have to walk up to it and you should see a popup telling you to use your interaction key, which in turn should bring up a voiceover from Malik and the option to leave Detroit.

From the various screen-shots I've seen, I got that. However, that isn't happening for me. The yellow "X" is there and I can only get so close to the ship. I've circled the ship several times, but can't get the Malik pop-up to trigger :/

Same exact problem for me. VTOL there, yellow X but cannot for the life of me get the radio to come on and ask if i want to leave like every other time or any game progress. Ive done everything i can short of deleting the game and reinstalling. Any answers on this problem??????

your typical "move between areas" bug, similar to the medical shuttle, etc. Nothing you can do to fix it except load in a earlier save and hope it activates next time you get there.

I had the same bug myself. I loaded earlier saves without success in getting in to the VTOL. After some frustrating moments, I circled once again to the back of the VTOL. When I looked at the left back-wing(?), it gave me the option to interact. The position of your character seems to make a big difference in this. As far as I know, you just need to get as close to the aircraft as possible, and have your character look in the right direction.

Couldn't enter Malik VTOL after Sandoval mission. Couldn't find the solution anywhere on forums, and was about to give up the whole game ...

to work for me I had to go to the back of the aircraft, go to the left part of the tail, and if you look at a specific place close to the center of the ship while in that location the option to interact will appear and it will be the trigger for the action to happen. cutscene
